CIDCO Under Progress Of Seawoods New Railway Stn. Cum Commercial Complex

For the Future of Navi Mumbai Airport even a consultant is interested in preparing a detailed project report and master plans. (CIDCO) City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd. is developing Rs 10,000-crore airport which has been finalised for a lush golf course with a commercial complex to be constructed in Navi Mumbai.

‘Integrated Commercial Complex’ the future project of CIDCO at its Seawoods Railway Station inched ahead on Tuesday with Larsen & Toubro quotation of Rs 1,809 crore, raising the highest bidder. Around 16.2 hectares the complex will be spread with total 26 lakhs sq. ft. of prime commercial space that is been developed, said Gill, with a FSI of 1.5. “This complex will be a state-of-the-art complex providing space for commercial, shopping, offices, multiplexes and hotels,” he said.
An “iconic” railway station building will also be made with integrated commercial complex, which has approximate Rs35 crore costs.
L&T was followed by DLF Retail Developers with Rs. 1,530 crore-bid and then India Bulls Real Estate with Rs 1,059 crore. The contract award will be finalised in a short period.
The golf course, an 18-hole one of international standards, will be developed in the Kharghar Node of the satellite city, to sprawl across 103 hectares including a residential complex; the golf course will be designed by Pacific Coast Design, an Australian firm, said CIDCO Managing Director and vice-president G S Gill.
“The golf course will be completed within 18 months,” Gill said. With a 25 per cent real estate development component in the golf course project, GIll expects that Navi Mumbai will soon see a further boost in realty rates and in the luxury homes market.
Progress on Navi Mumbai Airport
CIDCO officially confirmed that appointment process of a consultant for the Navi Mumbai airport is now complete, with the Louis Berger Group of Washington DC. The consultant will prepare a Detailed Project Report within 10 months. Within 3-4 months there will be finalisation of developers for the airport said Gill. The first phase of airport is about to complete in July 2012. However, Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport is under service. Expectations are that this airport will be diffused point-over40 million passengers per annum-by 2013. Hence, the second airport for the country’s financial capital assumes a key position.
75% of land is under CIDCO’s belonging to government. Remaining land purchase work is progressing said Gill from this 11 village and 3,500families are going to affect.
