Karla Resort Water Park Opens In Lonavala
Lonavala, Maharashtra : A new, sophisticated, state of art but affordable water park has been opened in Lonavala. This new venture adds as new asset for Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) into the amusement sector and will also boost the tourism of the place, said the concerned official on Monday.

Called as Karla Resort Water Park (KRWP), the place is only 25 km far from Lonavala and is MTDC’s first project into the this sector after successfully enriching into other activities such a houseboats, water sports, tents, snorkeling, scuba diving, forts, etc.
Chhagan Bhujbal, the tourism minister of Maharashtra said that that it tool Rs. 36 million to make the park and will be open for everyone in very affordable rates.
Right now there are approximately 24 private water parks in the states with mostly in Mumbai, Pune and Thane. All these parks have high fees making unaffordable for the middle and lower class people to enjoy.
But KRWP has low fees and has many good sites such as Crazy Pool Slides, Multi-lane Slides, Multipurpose Water Play System, Float Slides, Family Slides, Wave Pools, Mini-Aqua Trail, Water Umbrellas and many more. It is good place for tourists dwelling around Lonavala and Khandala.
With recent water scarcity in the State, Bhujbal dismissed the threats of this water park draining the remaining water is the state and also said that it will be purified and recycled. He said, “Besides, we must bear in mind that each tourist who comes to the state provides employment to 40 and 60 people directly and indirectly”
With this water park Lonavala and Khandala has been adorned with one more tourists attractions and that too in low price. And enjoying water rides amid greenery is altogether a different story.
