Global Pagoda Vipassana Center In Mumbai
Global Pagoda the famous Vipassana center located in Mumbai, India. This Global Pagoda is the worlds biggest Pagoda and it was inaugurated by the President of India, Pratibha Patil on 8th Feb 2009.

Global Pagoda is located in Gorai beach and the Arabic Sea. This vipassana center is constructed with an ancient technique. You can see the construction with the loop of bricks one after another, without any cement on it. This is built in the memory of Gautama Buddha.

Information:
This Global Pagoda is the world’s biggest and longest vipassana center built with stones and without any support of pillars. The height of the dome is around 29 miters and has a capacity to store more then thousand of people to meditate at the same time. The external dimension of this dome is around 97.46m and with 85.15m of internal dimension. This Global Pagoda covers an area of 6000 square meter and has the largest capacity to make people meditate in a single hall that is around 8000 people at a time.
The guru Mr. S.N Goenka is the one who thought people about the fact and the way to do meditation. The main aim of the guru was to spread the gratefulness of Lord Gautama Buddha. There is a 10 days course of vipassana, where people get to know about some facts and power of meditation.
How to reach Global Pagoda:
Global Pagoda is located in Mumbai,India next to Esselworld. You can reach there through Bus, car, and train. To reach there you need to follow this:
- First reach to the Western Express highway towards the north of Borivali.
- You have to cross Dahisar Toll booth and move ahead straight.
- When you reach theGoldenNestCentertake left from the main road.
- After that you need to reach to the T point junction.
- From there you can fine boats that will take you to Esselworld or the Global pagoda.
