The gate number 8 of mumbai airport, which is mainly used for top business men and VIP’s to board helicopters and chartered planes. Al Qaeda and Lashker e Taiba are about to cause destruction by targeting at particularly on gate number 8. Intelligence Bureau (IB) sent a confidential report to the police of Mumbai city stating that a truck loaded with explosives could try to enter into the airport through 8 number gate.

The intension of the terror group is to cause maximum destruction and killing number of people. A senior police officer told that the terror threat will be there for two months at the airport. IB heard this last week that the al – Queda has planned to conduct a terror through a helicopter or a small chartered plane. The officer told that this alert was received only on day before Ganpati visarjan.

Central Industrial Security has been informed regarding this news because they have been given the charge for the security of the airport. An officer at the airport told that if there will be any deviation in the movement of the aircraft will be observed, this will be informed to the Indian Air Force.

The plans of flight of non-schedules operators will be checked thoroughly. The security has also been increased at the gate number 8.

As told by a private charter operator, that previously passengers who were boarding the same flights were just to produce boarding pass, but from now they will have to show their identity proof also. Furthermore they are sending the passengers’ details to the Intelligence Bureau. Double checking of all the vehicles is also been done there.
