Mumbai International Airport’s runway reopened after stressful 72 hours

In Mumbai, almost after huge hard of seventy two hours, Turkish Airlines A340-300 fight was at last moved away to hangar and Mumbai’s airport’s prime runway cleaned up for plane operations on first day of week.

On Friday, the plane flown from Istanbul along with one hundred four passengers on board and slipped off on prime runway when it was landing. As per spokesperson of Mumbai International Airport ‘The plane was triggered to Air India hanger at 06:45am and prime runway passed over to air traffic control for operations of flight at 06:51am.

The prime runway touched first flight at 07:07am, when Air India plane left for towards Kolkata. At 07:12am the first landing took place that was Spice Jet plane came from Hyderabad. Normalcy came back to Mumbai airport with both the runways good operational.

The huge problem in recovery work was dragging plane from mud on the runway that was at the end got success at 01:17am. On Sunday, at 06:00pm, both wheels were elevated off the ground and about 09:00pm, the plane started to pull backwards. Formerly, there were few worried situations held as nose wheel of plane fell in slush again when it turned and steel plates belowgave away below plane weight.

The whole runway was cleaned by water from 05:00 to clear foreign objects; friction and mud test went out for fast exit taxiway N8, N7, and whole runway 27 length.

Airport source said that weather showed a huge dampener. On the first 2 days the hefty rain led out the transitory route complicated after that on Sunday and Saturday night, the speedy wind pace pressurized cancellation of work on numbers of occasions.
